I have a trichogaster trichopterus female in a 20g.Some years ago,she made short work of all of the trumpet snails and hydra that came in with my first live plants. I'm hoping to use her for this purpose again in my wife's 5g. It's heavily planted but houses 3 oto's,3 habrosus cories, and 4 panda cories.(metae,I think) We wouldn't keep her in there long, maybe a week or two. An anabantoid should be okay in such a small space temporarily, but what do you think of the compapibility issue? She's more skittish than anything and has never shown any interest in any other fish she's lived with. Not an aggressive old girl at all. The little tank has lots of watersprite for cover for her and plenty of cover for the cats. Thank you for your time.
