| Cara Clapsaddle American Livebearers Association Phone: 361-645-2252 Here is all the information on the convention: The 37th annual American Livebearer Association (ALA) Convention is moving out West, all the way to San Antonio, TX. The Houston Livebearer Association (HLA) is the host club for the Convention, which will be from May 1, 2008 through May 4, 2008 at the Hilton San Antonio Airport Hotel. The Convention will have field trips for visiting Goliad Farms and the Xiphophorus Genetics Stock Center and for collecting local fishes. There will be numerous speakers, a fish show, auction and raffle. website (ala2008.info) for additional information. | I have been fortunate enough to be able to visit the city. The Riverwalk, Alamo and surrounding area was one of the most enjoyable trips I have ever been on. I'm not well-traveled, but have been to a few. This one is tops! The convention will be the highlight, but you should set aside time to enjoy the city! |
