How big are the orange crays ? bigger than 2" ? If not, can we ask Dan Linton if these look like the dwarf orange crays (Cambarellus patzcuarensis) or the big boys (Procambarus clarkii) ? |

they are bigger than 2 inches so I'm guessing they are Clarkii ...the color is extremely bright ...I am far from an expert on inverts so I can't say, I can't tell from the pictures very well either Sam says he'll be here Christmas Eve with his camera I'll ask him to post a pic Dan is living in the Wilbraham area now so he doesn't come to the store often ...but I'll ask him ------------------------------------------------ by the way Chuck Fitz got both pairs of the dwarf pikes so he should breed them at some point and they'll be in the area again we hope Rich Pierce took some pics of the pikes I'll forward them to you |

I think you sent me the photos already, thanks ! Good to know about the dwarfs - Chuck is about 500,000,000,000 times the fish breeder than I am. ![]() if they are over 2" then they would be clarki's -- very cool but too big for any of the tanks I have space in... ps Merry Xmas and don't get too plastered on New Year's !! |
