I currently have 2 tanks, a 29 gallon and a 75 gallon.

After setting up the tanks and letting them run with water for around 2 days. I add in several fish, sailfin mollies, guppies, and ghost shrimp. After that, midget gouramies and sharks.

Then as 2-3 weeks pass my guppies die, some suddenly and others as if a band appeared between their top fin and back tail.. skinned as if the scales had been removed and the skin made slightly fuzzy.

Can someone tell me what might be happening and how to fix this?

to get a better guess
I need to see a sick live fish...
my guess is that possibly
the guppys are getting nipped
then the wounds are infecting

without doing any harm
you can do a 75% water change
then add 2 TEAspoons of salt per 1 Gallon of water
(plants can't take the salt, but fish can)
