im looking to put more plants in my tank. I have some painted turltes and American cichlids. right now i have a small java fern and anubias that they dont bother with is there anything else i can put into the tank that is larger that will be left alone or will only be picked at and not completely destroyed in a few days

both those groups of animals can eat plants.
If well fed they may not eat your plants.

Anubias has a very tough leaf they probably can't bite through, yet.
Jave Fern has a bitter taste.

But
I don't know ...
other species of plants might work.
